Discover Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK)

More commonly referred to as Pukhtunkhwa and formerly known as the NWFP province, Kyber Pakhtunkhwa is one of the four provinces of Pakistan and has Peshawar as its Capital. The province is beautiful and consists of cities such as Swat, Abbottabad, Chitral and Mardan which are ideal tourist destinations and offer a great variety of leisure and adventure along with a hint of cultural diversity.

Things To See in KPK

From the beautiful sceneries of Nathia Gali to the mountainous views of Chitral, there is plenty to see in KPK. Lake Saif ul Malook, a beautiful lake often touted as the lake of the fairies is located in Kaghan Valley of KPK. Visit the Chitral Museum for a historical fix or go meet the oldest tribe of South Asia, the Kalash people, situated in the Kalash valley.

If you find history to be very significant and take a keen interest in archaeological sites then Kyber Pakhtunkhwa is the place for you. In the province you will find sites such as the monastic site of the Takht-i-Bahi, the ruins of Bala Hisar and the ancient Peshawar Valley.

Transportation in KPK

There are three modes of transportation available in the province of KPK, Air, train and by road. The province has an airport located in Peshawar called the Peshawar International Airport where tourists can catch flights to international cities such as Dubai, Jeddah and Doha directly. Tourists can travel in KPK by taking buses, cars and taxis. There is also a train service and a bus network that runs from Peshawar to Karachi, Lahore and various other cities.
